Point of Sale Integration Project of Beach Pizza, Auckland, New Zealand
The primary purpose of this project is to design, create, or purchase a well custom-made point-of-sale system for Beach Pizza that is interoperable and fully possesses a set of integrated qualities. They have multiple locations throughout New Zealand, and they have variety of point of sale (POS) systems used across those locations. Due to this data retention and collection can be challenging at times, necessitating either enlisting the assistance of local staff in each location, or physically visiting each location to retrieve sales and inventory data.
It can be difficult for employees who are not familiar with information technology to operate the POS system, submit data to the appropriate person, and get data from the database integration, among other things. It is also difficult for employees who are not involved in information technology to retrieve data from the database integration and communicate the data to the person who has requested it. As a result, when there are labor shortages or when new employees are being trained in other branches, the staff may be shifted to different branches, making it difficult for them to become acclimated to the diverse point of sale systems in different branches. Because of this, we as a team met with the owner of Beach Pizza and discussed the idea of updating the current point-of-sale system to an integrated point-of-sale system that will be easy to access for both employees and the administrator.
We were successfully able to complete the project within the timeframe planned initial stage of the project. We purchased Aronium point of sale, which is one of the best in the market as well as their customer service is praiseworthy. We were able to integrate the new Aronium point of sale across all the branches of Beach Pizza. We gave all the staff proper training and created training documentation for their future references.
